Privacy Policy

When you create an account and use Golf League Live, we collect:

• Name and email address — provided when you sign up, either directly or via Google.
• Golf scores — hole-by-hole scores you enter during rounds.
• Handicap index — calculated automatically from your round history, or entered manually.
• League membership — which leagues you belong to and your role in them.
• Usage data — basic analytics (page views, feature usage) to help us improve the app. No personally identifiable information is included in analytics.

We use Stripe to process payments for Pro subscriptions. Golf League Live does not store your credit card information. Payment data is handled securely by Stripe.

We use the data we collect to:

• Run the app — display leaderboards, calculate handicaps, manage league rosters, and track season standings.
• Identify you within your league so other members can see your scores and standings.
• Send you notifications about your league activity (only if you opt in).
• Understand how the app is being used so we can fix bugs and improve features.

We do not use your data for advertising or build advertising profiles from it.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. Ever. Your golf scores and profile data exist only to make your league experience work.

We store a reference to your Stripe customer ID and subscription status so we can manage your account access. We do not store full card numbers, CVVs, or billing addresses.

Your scores and profile are visible to other members of leagues you have joined — that is the core purpose of the app. Outside of that:

• We use Firebase (Google) to store your data and handle authentication. Firebase is subject to Google's data processing terms.
• We use Google Analytics (anonymized) to understand app usage patterns.
• We do not share your data with any other third parties.

You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. When you delete your account, your user profile and personal information are removed from our systems. Historical round data (scores entered for a round) may remain associated with the round record but will be de-identified.

Your data is stored in Firebase, which uses industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. We follow Firebase's security best practices and restrict access to your data using Firestore security rules.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Golf League Live is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
